Launched ARTS experimental cellular system in Washington/Baltimore in 1980 which became the second live cellular network; awarded first experimental PCS license and launched first PCS system in U.S. in Washington in 1995. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. Wayne Schelle passed away on January 10, 2017.
