Nina Vendhan 2024 WHF Scholarship recipientNina Vendhan is pursuing an MBA from Wharton School of Business to better understand how to make technology infrastructure deployment more equitable.  Graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Harvard University, some of Ms. Vendhan’s honors include: Princess Diana Award for social impact, ColoradoBiz Magazine’s 2022 Top 5 Most Influential Young Professionals under 40,  Colorado Inno’s 12 under 25, Emerging Leader of the Year 2021 by the Colorado Technology Association, Top 100 Women in Business by the National Diversity Council, and being the youngest inductee to the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce 2022 Top 25 Most Powerful Women.

Goals and Aspirations: Globalization and the increased adoption of technology have improved the lives of many but have left many more untouched. I keep fighting for the proliferation of wireless broadband because it alleviates the throes of this unequal transition. The growing digital divide motivated me to study economics at Harvard where I wrote my senior thesis on reducing educational inequalities in underrepresented communities through technological innovation. For this, I won the Harris Prize for the best economics thesis. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Wharton to better understand how to make technology infrastructure deployment more equitable. My immediate career goal is to go back to being a venture capital technology investor to support visionary entrepreneurs, particularly from diverse backgrounds, who are fueling the digital revolution every day.
